Police say girl who died after found in car during heat wave not criminal
EDMONTON – Edmonton police say they are not treating the death of a little girl who died after being found inside a car during a heat wave as a crime.
Police say the three-year-old girl was not left in the car by a parent or guardian and the vehicle was not locked.
Edmonton media have identified the girl as Tsi Tsi Chitekedza.
Her mother, Grace Vela, says she doesn’t know how her daughter got into the car Tuesday.
The girl died later is hospital.
Police say their investigation is complete and they will not comment further.
