KELOWNA – The Kelowna Rockets defeated the Swift Current Broncos 4-0 on home ice Tuesday night, opening the WHL season with their seventh straight win.
It was immediately evident the Rockets had control of the game with Carter Rigby leading the way with a pair of goals as well as an assist in the game.
The other standout of the evening was Jackson Whistle in net, who stopped all 18 shots the Broncos fired his way. Kelowna outshot the Broncos 26-18 in the game.
The other two goals came from Cole Linaker and Justin Kirkland. Austin Glover was on hand for two noteable assists.
Kelowna's next game is Saturday when they host the Lethbridge Hurricanes at Prospera Place.
