Kelowna Chiefs defeated by Princeton in season opener

Kelowna – Rutland’s very own Kelowna Chiefs were defeated in their KIJHL season opener.

The Chiefs hit the road to Princeton where they suffered a 4 – 3 loss at the hands of the Posse.

Princeton dominated the first period with all three of their goals scored on the power play.  Jordan Salahor (1G, 1A) opened scoring for the Chiefs with a power play goal at 3:41.

The rest of the action took place in the second period with rookie Nicholas Gnazdowsky netting a goal along with Jagger Bowles.

The third period was scoreless.

Up next for the Kelowna Chiefs is their home opener on Saturday September 14th when the Osoyoos Coyotes visit Rutland Arena.
