West Kelowna aquatic centre back in business

WEST KELOWNA – The maintenance is finished and the pool is reopening.

As of 6 a.m. on Monday, you can take a dip in the pool or lift some weights at the Johnson Bentley Memorial Aquatic Centre in West Kelowna.

The facility has been closed for it’s annual maintenance, but also for a $414,000 construction project.

The District has a contractor working on seismic upgrades to the building, a new entrance along with a new patio and pagoda.

Phase 2 of the project should wrap up by the end of October, just in time for the aquatic centre’s 25th anniversary community celebration.

It will be held on Oct. 26, from 1 to 4 p.m.

For more information on schedule and fees for the aquatic centre you check on the District’s online recreation guide.
