WINNIPEG – An inquest into the death of a man who was in a Winnipeg emergency room for 34 hours is seeing video of the waiting area for the first time.
Surveillance tape from the Health Sciences Centre shows Brian Sinclair waiting in the ER.
The double-amputee is caught sporadically on the video from two security cameras.
Sgt. John O’Donovan studiedthe video as part of a police investigation.
He told the inquest that Sinclair didn’t leave the waiting room from the time he arrived until he was found dead 34 hours later.
Sinclair died in September 2008 of a treatable bladder infection caused by a blocked catheter.
