OTTAWA – A baby garment featuring the Ottawa Senators logo is being recalled because of a potential choking hazard.
The red onesie, offered as a promotional item in October and November, has been flagged in the “Recalls and Safety Alerts” section of the Government of Canada website after reports of small metal snaps breaking off.
The Senators said in a release that approximately 5,000 onesies, featuring the NHL team’s logo on the front and Canadian Tire logo on the right sleeve were manufactured in China and distributed by Reward Connections Inc. on behalf of Canadian Tire. Approximately 2,400 were distributed.
There have been no reports of injury.
Consumers who purchased the onesie are being advised to contact Reward Connections for product return and disposal. Detailed instructions are available at http://healthycanadians.gc.ca/recall-alert-rappel-avis/hc-sc/2018/66960r-eng.php.
