PHILADELPHIA – Police say a man held for questioning in the shooting deaths of two women inside a Philadelphia home is considered a suspect in the case, but investigators have more work to do.
Homicide Capt. John Ryan says Tuesday that the 39-year-old man answered the door after gunshots were reported at the home Monday night. Sixty-six-year-old Adeline Hill, who used a wheelchair, was found dead on the first floor, and 42-year-old Renee Cosom was found dead on the second floor.
Ryan says the man was Cosom’s boyfriend and lived there. He says there were no signs of forced entry and “all the signs point” to him being responsible. A weapon was recovered but it hasn’t been confirmed as the one used in the slayings.
No charges have been filed. Ryan says there hadn’t been any domestic issues involving the couple.
