CIS Football: QB Hugo Richard leads Rouge et Or to rout over Sherbrooke
QUEBEC – Quarterback Hugo Richard completed 17-of-27 passes for three touchdowns and 340 yards as the Laval Rouge-et-Or routed the Sherbrooke Vert-et-Or 41-3 on Sunday in CIS football action.
Richard opened the scoring with a two-yard TD run before firing in his three touchdown passes to lead Laval’s (2-1) offence. The Rouge-et-Or’s defence also scored three safeties.
Sherbrooke (1-2) scored its only points on a safety.
J.C. Bourque-St-Hilaire completed 6-of-17 passes for 80 yards for the Vert-et-Or — including a 42-yard bomb — and Alex Jacob-Michaud made two of his 12 pass attempts.
