“Breaking Bad” creator says he dreaded ending but said his goodbyes months ago
VANCOUVER – The creator of the Emmy Award-winning series “Breaking Bad” says he bid his final farewell to the show months ago.
Series creator Vince Gilligan says he dreaded the ending and admits he was overwhelmed by emotion while writing the last paragraph of the last episode, capped by the words: “End series.”
He says he teared up because he knew he was saying goodbye to the characters and he’d never write another episode again.
For five seasons, the AMC series has told the tale of former high school teacher Walter White, who produces and sells methamphetamine with former student Jesse Pinkman.
The series stars Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul.
The final episode will air on Sunday night.
