Green leader coming to West Kelowna to kick off byelection campaign

WEST KELOWNA – The leader of the B.C. Green Party will be in West Kelowna next week to begin the Kelowna West byelection campaign for the local candidate.

Green Party candidate Robert Stupka will be facing the B.C. Liberal’s Ben Stewart, B.C. NDP candidate Shelly Cook and Kyle Geronazzo with the B.C. Libertarian Party.

Green Party leader Andrew Weaver will be meeting with local business and community leaders in Kelowna and West Kelowna on Jan. 3, Jan. 4 and Jan. 5, 2018, according to a media release.

Weaver will co-host a town hall meeting with Stupka Thursday night, Jan. 4 at the Westbank Community Centre at 2466 Main St.

A date for the byelection to replace former Premier Christy Clark has yet to be announced. The government has until Feb. 4 to call one.
