Parliament shooter, dead soldier named

OTTAWA – The gunman slain this morning during a shooting on Parliament Hill in Ottawa has been identified by CBS news as 32-year-old Canadian-born Michael Zehaf-Bibeau.

CBS cited 'intelligence sources' as the origin of the information.

The soldier who was killed during the shootout was 24-year-old Cpl. Nathan Cirillo, according to CBC. He was a reservist from Hamilton standing guard Wednesday at the National War Memorial in Ottawa.

  1. We have many in this country who call themselves CANADIANS, however this piece of crap got what he deserved. A true canadian would/could not shoot a hero standing at guard for those who fought to save us all
