One man, one gun one, incident. No cohorts, no armed rebellion or insurrection, no likelihood of success. Sadly a young reservist paid with his life just for being in the wrong place at the wrong time. The death of the perpetrator cancels any chance of finding out definitively what caused him to behave this way. All the speculation in the world will not provide the answer. That is two down in less than a week. When did our planes take off to kill people in Iraq? Did that provide impetus to these two individuals? We will never know for sure. Assuming they were terrorists is not helpful but fits the Conservative Agenda of control and surveillance ‘improvements’.Should the young man in New Brunswick be called a terrorist as well? He shot three policemen before he was done. Are people starting to feel the presence of oppression upon us? All appeared to have trouble minds. All chose targets of authority to act out against. Do we need more intrusions into our lives or more mental health workers?
