Saskatchewan Roughriders wear what’s needed to stay warm in final walkthrough
REGINA – The Saskatchewan Roughriders reached deep into their closet Saturday for their final walkthrough before the Grey Cup.
Players wore everything from boots to trapper hats with fur flaps to stay warm on a day where the temperature was minus-16 and felt like minus-25.
The final walkthrough is traditionally a short, light-hearted affair so players wore whatever they could to stay warm.
Wide receiver Geroy Simon sported a winter coat underneath his Riders jersey.
The Hamilton Tiger-Cats were to practise later in the day.
The forecast is better for Sunday’s kickoff at minus-three or four.
