Former U.S. Ambassador John Bolton is urging disaffected Republicans in Nevada to resist the temptation to sit out the November election.
The former ambassador to the United Nations said during the 2nd annual GOP Basque Fry on a ranch south of Carson City on Saturday that he continues to hear from people who say they won’t vote for either Hillary Clinton or Donald Trump.
Bolton said that any Republican who succumbs to the temptation to vote for a third party candidate will be punching the ticket for the former First Lady’s return to the White House.
He says anyone who believes Clinton won’t be as bad or worse than President Obama is deceiving themselves.

More than 1,000 Nevada Republicans are gathering for a barbeque on a ranch south of Carson City to rally the troops for the November election.
Attorney General Adam Laxalt and his conservative political action committee MorninginNevada are hosting the second annual Basque Fry on a ranch outside Gardnerville that dates to the 1860s.
Laxalt said Saturday’s event is all about history and tradition. His grandfather, the late U.S. Sen. and Nevada Gov. Paul Laxalt, used to host a similar barbeque in the style of their Basque family tradition with chorizo sausages and fried sheep testicles during the 1980s.
Laxalt says everywhere he goes in Nevada people tell him how much they miss his grandfather. They say he said what he meant and did what he’d say he’d do.
Laxalt says Donald Trump is cut from the same mould.
