UBC resident drives off road in Vancouver’s second fatal crash this year

Vancouver Police are investigating an early morning crash that left one man dead on Sunday.
Police say that just before 1 a.m., a white Mercedes sedan was travelling eastbound on West 16th Avenue near Discovery Street, when the driver lost control and crashed into a tree.
The driver, a 21-year-old man who lived on the University of British Columbia campus, died at the scene.
This is Vancouver's second fatal collision of 2018.
Officers are on the scene today investigating and believe speed may have been a factor.
Anyone who may have witnessed the collision and has not yet spoken with police is asked to call the Vancouver police department's non-emergency line.
