Country star Jason Aldean announces 50-date US stadium tour with Major League Baseball

NEW YORK, N.Y. – Jason Aldean is heading to the centerfield.

The country star says he’s partnering with Major League Baseball to launch a 50-date stadium tour this spring. Some of the dates will be announced later Thursday.

The 36-year-old said in an interview that “it doesn’t seem like that long ago we were playing little clubs.” He added that playing stadiums is “pretty overwhelming sometimes, but I love it.”

Aldean’s latest album, “Night Train,” is nominated for best country album at the Jan. 26 Grammy Awards. The singer said he’s honoured to be up for the prize, but added: “If we win it, we do, if we don’t, we don’t.”

Florida Georgia Line and Tyler Farr will open Aldean’s tour.
