CN train derails in Burnaby, B.C., with three cars laying on side:police

BURNABY, B.C. – A CN train has derailed in Burnaby, B.C., and RCMP say three cars are laying on their sides.

Insp. Tim Shields says the train went off the tracks at about 11 a.m. Saturday, but it was not believed to be carrying any hazardous materials.

There are no reports of injuries or property damage.

Shields says a nearby road has been closed, and it’s too early to speculate on what caused the derailment.
