SANDY SPRINGS, Ga. – Police in Georgia say a security guard for Justin Bieber faces a robbery charge after he admitted taking a photographer’s camera.
Sandy Springs police Capt. Steve Rose says 32-year-old Hugo Hesny faces a robbery by snatch charge. Photographer Jason Winslow called police around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday to report that his camera had been taken.
Winslow told police Hesny confronted him as he took photos from the parking lot of the Sandy Springs Funhouse arcade. Winslow says Hesny chased him as he drove away, cut him off, opened his vehicle door and took his camera.
Police say Hesny initially denied taking the camera but later said he took it to delete the photos.
Hesny’s attorney, Elias Hilal, says he’s aware of the Georgia arrest but hasn’t reviewed the reports yet.
