UPDATE: Driver in critical condition after rolling truck

Hugh Allen Drive is now open to traffic.

Police have been at the site of the crash for the last few hours examining the scene and collecting information.  

The 50 year old Kamloops man who was driving one of the vehicles involved, remains in hospital in critical condition. 

The police investigation is ongoing.

12:10 p.m., Oct. 26., 2013

KAMLOOPS – A man was rushed to hospital Saturday morning following a two-car crash at Hugh Allen Drive and Harrison Way in Kamloops.

A pick-up truck rolled, pinning the driver underneath. Emergency crews had to lift the truck with hydraulic equipment to get the man free.

He suffered very serious injuries.

The RCMP tell us Hugh Allen Drive is completely blocked and the drivers are being advised to avoid the area. No word when the road will be reopened. Flaggers are directing traffic.

Investigators are looking for the cause of the crash.
