‘Shield’ star Michael Chiklis joins all ‘Coven’ principals for next ‘American Horror Story’

LOS ANGELES, Calif. – The FX channel says Michael Chiklis is joining “American Horror Story” for the anthology series’ fourth season.

The Emmy-winning star of “The Shield” will portray the ex-husband and father of characters played by Kathy Bates and Evan Peters. The fourth season will be subtitled “Freak Show.”

The Chiklis casting announcement came Friday during the “American Horror Story: Coven” event that served as closing night of PaleyFest.

Over 16 days, the festival attracted thousands of fans to the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles for presentations with the casts and crews of TV shows.
