Leblanc’s 10-point night pushes Toronto Rock over Vancouver Stealth 17-9
LANGLEY, B.C. – Stephan Leblanc scored five goals and set up five more as the Toronto Rock dominated the Vancouver Stealth 17-9 in National Lacrosse League action on Saturday.
Colin Doyle had five goals and one assist, Rob Hellyer had three goals and eight assists, Kasey Beirnes had three goals and one assist, and Josh Sanderson scored one goal and assisted on five more for the Rock (6-9). Garrett Billings chipped in with seven helpers.
Rhys Duchs led the Stealth (4-10) with four goals. Lewis Ratcliffe had two goals and an assist, Tyler Digby had a goal and two assists, and Cliff Smith and Jamie Lincoln also scored.
Toronto’s Brandon Miller gave up seven goals on 43 shots through 54:43. Nick Rose stopped 3-of-5 shots in 5:17.
Vancouver goaltenders Matt Roik and Tyler Richards combined on 29 saves, with Roik giving up 11 goals on 25 shots and Richards stopping 4-of-10 shots he faced.
