Garden gnomes on the roam in B.C. city after lawn ornaments pinched from yards
NANAIMO, B.C. – It wasn’t exactly a case of gnomes gone wild, but several garden gnomes were certainly on the roam in Nanaimo, B.C., early Wednesday.
A collection of the little statues, other lawn ornaments, solar lights and a bird bath showed up in a common garden in the city overnight.
A woman was letting out her dogs in the morning when she spotted the items in the garden on Robbie Place.
She called police to say the ornaments appeared to have been taken from the yards of nearby residents before they were “lovingly” arranged throughout the garden.
The Mounties say it was likely a prank, and they’re trying to reunite the gnomes and other ornaments with their rightful owners.
