Car hits people standing in front of Southern California ice cream parlour; 1 dead, 6 injured

BUENA PARK, Calif. – An SUV has plowed into a line of people waiting outside a California ice cream parlour, killing a woman and injuring six others.

Orange County Fire Authority Capt. Steve Concialdi says the car rammed into a people standing outside Farrell’s Ice Cream Parlour in Buena Park shortly after 6 p.m. Friday.

He says a 60-year-old woman was critically injured and died at a hospital.

Two other people had moderate injuries and four had minor injuries.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.

Televised news reports showed a silver SUV pushed up over a curb and stopped against a bench.
