Police raids in Kamloops target organized crime, seize drugs, guns and cash

KAMLOOPS, B.C. – RCMP in Kamloops, B.C., have busted what they say is a major drug ring after raids on three homes and the arrests of six people.

Supt. Brad Mueller says the raids were carried out last week on homes in the Sahali, Westsyde and Bachelor Heights neighbourhoods.

Drugs and trafficking paraphernalia were seized from two of the homes while 40 firearms, including assault rifles, were found in the third home, along with stolen property and about $50,000 cash.

Mueller says the raids targeted organized criminal activity within Kamloops.

Thirty-six-year-old Jason Robertson is among the six people arrested.

Police say he has been charged with firearms offences and is also the owner of two of the three homes. (CHNL)
