Vancouver police get no help from victims after targeted break-in

VANCOUVER – Vancouver police are trying to unravel the details of what appears to be a possible home invasion that ended with one man suffering a gunshot wound to the leg.

The incident occurred just after midnight on Tuesday in an apartment building in the 2500 block of Kingsway in east Vancouver.

Sgt. Randy Fincham says officers responded to reports that several people had forced their way into a suite.

Police found two men and a woman outside the building as they arrived.

One of the men was taken to hospital for treatment of a bullet wound to the leg, but the other two were not hurt.

Fincham says the break-in appears targeted, no arrests have been made and none of the victims is co-operating with police.
