Two Prince George, B.C., teenagers identified as victims in vehicle lake crash

PRINCE GEORGE, B.C. – Two teenagers have been identified as the victims inside an SUV that plunged into a lake near Prince George, B.C., over the weekend.

Kendall Gabriella Moore, aged 17, and 19-year-old Craig Wood both died when the vehicle they were in went into Kwitzil Lake, also know as Gravel Pit Lake, early Sunday.

A Search and Rescue team found the vehicle and both teens were pronounced dead at the scene.

The BC Coroners Service and Prince George RCMP continue to investigate.

School District Supt. Brian Pepper says all six high schools in the city are affected by the tragedy because many students attended an after-graduation party near the lake that night.

Pepper says support systems have been put in place for students returning to class today.
