Liberal MP Justin Trudeau handshakes at Stampede, still weighing leadership run
CALGARY – Federal Liberal MP Justin Trudeau was pressing the flesh at a Stampede pancake breakfast in Calgary this morning but denies he has made a decision about running for the federal leadership.
Trudeau worked his way down the long line of pancake enthusiasts at a Liberal breakfast, speaking to each individual and posing for photos.
But he told reporters that it shouldn’t been seen as campaigning and was something he does at all public events.
Trudeau says he is still weighing the pros and cons of seeking the Liberal leadership but has to decide if he can balance a more high profile job with family life.
He says he will likely announce his intentions at the end of the summer.
The new Liberal leader will be chosen next year.
