Forget Air Jordan, keep an eye for Hair Oduro as Toronto FC player changes coifs

TORONTO – Dominic Oduro’s hair care regimen is more complicated than most. But the carefully coiffed Toronto FC winger-forward says he has it down to an art.

“It takes five minutes, let’s put it that way,” the Ghana native said Wednesday. “I’ve got to look a little bit pretty.”

The 28-year-old’s current hairdo is a mohawk tinged with red.

But Oduro, who joined Toronto earlier this month in a trade from Columbus, promises variety.

“I just want to entertain people,” he said. “This sport is all about entertainment and why not entertain with my hair. That’s how I see it so I just want to do something crazy to my hair almost every home game — if my hair will let me.”

Past hairstyles included a pink mohawk with a pink ribbon logo etched on the side for breast cancer awareness month. He has also had his hair styled in Ghana’s colours and those of Columbus.

A pizza-lover, he has also worn a slice of pizza design in his hair.

With 46 goals in 229 career MLS regular season games, Oduro can also entertain in other ways on the field.
