TORONTO – Canadian actors Aaron Ashmore and Luke Macfarlane will star alongside British theatre star Hannah John-Kamen in the new Space original drama series “Killjoys.”
Space, Syfy and Temple Street Productions say the three play bounty hunters in a distant planetary system on the brink of war.
“Lost Girl” scribe Michelle Lovretta created, wrote and is the showrunner behind the 10-episode program.
Production is slated to start Aug. 5 in Toronto with the series premiere target of 2015.
Producers say additional casting is to be announced.
Ashmore hails from Richmond, B.C., and is known for his roles on “Smallville” and “Warehouse 13.”
Macfarlane of London, Ont., played Scotty Wandell on “Brothers & Sisters.”
And English-born John-Kamen starred in the West End musical “Viva Forever,” based on the songs of the Spice Girls.
