Police looking for woman who appears to be eating raw bird on Montreal subway

MONTREAL – Montreal police are looking for a woman who was caught on video in a subway train apparently eating a raw bird.

The YouTube video shows a woman sitting down, bent over, pulling the feathers off what looks like a bird and then devouring it.

She is quite oblivious to her fellow passengers, although the same can’t be said of their reaction.

The man filming the July 1 scene exclaims he’s about to vomit, while other passengers are seen moving to the other end of the subway car.

Montreal police spokesman Manuel Couture says investigators want to locate the young woman in order to know exactly what happened.

Couture said today the woman could be charged with disturbing the peace.

“Once she’s found, she’ll be met by investigators and they’ll decide whether to send the case to the Crown prosecutor,” he said in an interview.

“It’s possible it could be cultural (or) is it a person who needs help or is it a criminal incident?”
