It’s a wrap: Final day of the Toronto International Film Festival
TORONTO – The Toronto International Film Festival wraps up today after an 11 day fan feast of some of the biggest stars and hundreds of films covering almost every genre.
The closing night of the filmfest featured the world premiere of Alan Rickman’s “A Little Chaos,” a story set in France in the 1600s.
The movie stars Kate Winslet as a landscape designer commissioned to construct King Louis XIV’s garden at Versailles.
She battles the king’s chief architect both professionally and romantically.
Rickman does double-duty, taking on the role of Louis as well as directing.
He says it’s a great honour for the film to be celebrated at closing night of the film festival.
Winslet said working with Rickman was a “wonderful experience.”
The film festival wraps up with the traditional closing brunch and the announcement of the People’s Choice Award.
