19-year-old man charged in fatal dance studio shooting

FORT WORTH, Texas – A 19-year-old man detectives describe as a known gang member has been arrested on a murder warrant in a shooting at a Texas dance studio that killed two people and wounded several others.

Tommy Lee Ward was booked Wednesday without bond into the Mansfield Jail on charges of murder and evading arrest. Jail records list no attorney for him.

He’s accused of shooting up Studio 74 early Saturday during what owners said was an unauthorized party at the hip-hop dance studio in eastern Fort Worth. Killed were 18-year-old Jordan Larkin and 22-year-old Treavon Lewis.

Fort Worth police homicide Sgt. Joe Loughman tells the Fort Worth Star-Telegram (http://bit.ly/293QsNk ) Ward is known as a gang member and the shooting was believed to be gang-related.
