LONDON, Ont. – Mustangs second-string quarterback Stevenson Bone passed for 285 yards and three touchdowns as No. 4 Western trounced the No. 10 Laurier Golden Hawks 61-20 in CIS football action on Thursday.
Bone, starting in place of injured QB Will Finch, was 19-for-25 on the day while running for 86 yards and a score of his own.
Garret Sanvido led the Mustangs (5-1) with 165 yards on 17 carries and Brian Marshall was Western’s top receiver with eight catches for 157 yards and a touchdown.
Laurier (4-2) was led by Dillon Campbell, who rushed for 111 yards on 18 carries to become the Golden Hawks all-time single season rushing leader. The fourth year running back has 1,132 rushing yards on the year, breaking Jim Reid’s record of 1,078 established in 1977.
James Fracas threw for 285 yards and a touchdown but was intercepted twice.

MONTREAL — Freshman quarterback Travis Eman rushed for a pair of touchdowns as visiting Bishop’s (1-4) beat McGill (0-5). Redmen quarterback Joel Houle threw for 214 yards but was intercepted twice.
