Broken down sled stolen near Sicamous

SICAMOUS – The RCMP are looking for help to find the thief or thieves who stole a Ski-Doo broken down on a forest service road near Sicamous.

Police say on Tuesday morning, the sled broke down and had to be left at the five kilometre mark on the Owl Head Forest Service Road.

It was left for several hours as the owner arranged to transport it out of the bush, according to Const. Kris Clark in a media release.

“Upon his return, the owner discovered that his sled was no longer there,” Clark says.

RCMP are looking for a 2013 Ski-Doo Summit with a Rotax 800 cc engine, 163 in track and M10 suspension. It’s black and yellow.

“Investigators are asking anyone who may have been in the area that day or anyone who may have information to call police,” Clark says.

the point would be leaving a 12k toy on the side of a road anywhere would mean insurance. if you can afford the toy make sure its safe.
