CAW says no immediate target in its negotiations with GM, Chrysler and Ford

TORONTO – The Canadian Auto Workers Union says for this round of negotiations with the Big 3 automakers it’s not immediately announcing a target company with the goal of moving negotiations along with all three. But the CAW says General Motors, Chrysler and Ford have demonstrated that they aren’t serious about reaching an agreement and want to cut costs from existing agreements. Hourly workers at Chrysler, General Motors and Ford plants in Canada have voted overwhelmingly to go on strike to back their contract demands.
