CHASE — Another search warrant executed at a rural property near Scotch Creek in the Shuswap has recovered a large amount of stolen pet food.
Officers executed a third search warrant at a property located in the 4000 block of Leopold Road on July 12, according to an RCMP news release.
Police recovered hundreds of bags of dog and cat food totalling $12,700.
RCMP say during a previous search on June 21 they noted a suspiciously large amount of Acana and Orijen brand dog and cat food on the property. RCMP determined that pet food was related to a theft reported to the Delta Police in April.
No charges have been laid and the investigation is ongoing.
