Year-long child pornography investigation culminates with charges for B.C. man

ABBOTSFORD, B.C. – Police say a 43-year-old Abbotsford, B.C., man is facing 11 child pornography charges after a year-long investigation led to his arrest.

Const. Ian MacDonald says investigators searched Christopher Sieber’s house with a warrant and seized two laptops and six data storage devices on Wednesday.

He says Sieber has now been released with court-ordered conditions that restrict his contact with minors and the Internet.

MacDonald says the investigation is unique because of the large number of accepted charges.

The Crown has approved nine counts of distribution, and single counts each of accessing and possessing child porn.

MacDonald says police must now further investigate what he described as the disturbing and troubling material seized at the scene.
