Kamloops rental company donates $500,000 to RIH Foundation

KAMLOOPS — A local rental business has announced a $500,000 commitment to the Royal Inland Hospital Foundation for the new patient care tower.

Warner Rentals, the largest independent equipment rental company in Kamloops, has agreed to give the foundation a financial boost, according to a media release from Royal Inland Hospital Foundation.

“Warner Rentals isn’t the biggest company in the city but we try to support anything that benefits health,” Ralph Warner says in a release. “My children were born at Royal Inland Hospital, my mom fought cancer there… it’s the heartbeat of our city and we have to make it better.”

Warner Rentals was established in 1975 by Warner’s father who moved the business to the current location on East Athabasca Street in 1980. Eventually, the company opened additional locations in Salmon Arm and Princeton.

“I’m proud to be from Kamloops and the Warner Rentals loves our city,” Warner says. “We work hard and make intentional decisions in order to benefit this community and that’s what this $500,000 donation to Royal Inland Foundation is all about.”

Warner says there will be more funding coming through Warner Rentals as the new patient care tower expansion comes to fruition.
