Police: Gunman kills 4 people inside Minneapolis sign business before fatally shooting self

MINNEAPOLIS – Police say the gunman who opened fire inside a Minneapolis sign-making business killed four people before fatally shooting himself.

In a statement released early Friday, Minneapolis police said the bodies of four victims were found shortly after officers arrived at the scene Thursday afternoon and evacuated the business.

Four other people were wounded, including three critically, in the shooting at Accent Signage Systems. The sign-making company is in a residential area in the city’s north side.

Police initially said at least two people had been killed, but later would only say that “several” bodies had been found inside.

The suspected shooter was found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Neither his name nor the names of the victims have been released.
