BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. – Amy Adams has won the Golden Globe for best actress in a musical or comedy for “Big Eyes.”

Adams plays American painter Margaret Keane, whose unstable and deceptive husband took credit for her highly popular artwork for years before she eventually proved at a dramatic trial that she was the true artist.

The other nominees Sunday were: Emily Blunt, “Into the Woods”; Helen Mirren, “The Hundred-Foot Journey”; Julianne Moore, “Maps to the Stars”; and Quvenzhane Wallis, “Annie.”

The 72nd annual Golden Globes are airing live from the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, with hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler.
