Police charge woman with criminal negligence in Labrador teen’s death
HAPPY VALLEY-GOOSE BAY, N.L. – A 26-year-old Labrador woman is facing several charges following the death of a 17-year-old girl who was found at a home in Natuashish.
RCMP say the woman was arrested Thursday in Happy Valley-Goose Bay following a lengthy investigation involving several police agencies.
The arrest comes after a teenager was found by police at a home on Katshinak Street last Oct. 13.
Police did not identify the teen or the woman.
However, they say the woman has been charged with criminal negligence causing death, failure to provide the necessities of life and public mischief.
She appeared before a judge and was released on conditions.
She is due back in court June 4.
