“Anything” a video by Kelowna Chiefs
KELOWNA – A team building exercise by the Kelowna Chiefs has turned into a motivator for young, inspiring hockey players.
Members of the Chiefs banded together to film their take of Hedley’s hit new song “Anything” from their latest album Wild Life.
The idea of the video was the brainchild of Kelowna Chiefs Director of Operations and Marketing Reagan Krivsky who chose this song for more than just its catchy verse.
“Anything was chosen mostly because a lot of hockey players are told don’t bother, you’re too small or slow and you have no commitment so Hedley hit the mark with this song, telling young people around the world, to never give up on their dreams. This is something very important for young players to recognize.”
The song, which was used by permission from Universal Music Group, features a young hockey player trying to make the cut but keeps getting harassed by fellow teammates and coaches. But with a lot of hard work and determination, he can do anything.
“The idea of a tribute video was inspired by others like it,” says Krivsky. “But also because it is something that can last through the ages and be enjoyed by a wide audience.”
Hedley hails from Abbotsford BC and will be performing in Kelowna in 2014.
A special thank you to Dunsmoor Creative who created the storyboard, shot all the video and edited the final piece.
Also the Kelowna Chiefs would like to thank Hedley and Universal Music Group for permission to use the song “Anything.”
The video can be found on the Kelowna Chiefs YouTube Channel.
