Bob Ross’s ‘Happy Little Accidents’ exhibit headed to Penticton

Bob Ross's lilting voice, his distinguished mop of hair and his happy little trees are beloved across Canada and they're about to be celebrated in Penticton.

The Penticton Art Gallery announced today, Dec. 6, an upcoming exhibition titled Happy Little Accidents that features 32 of Ross’s original paintings.

The exhibit, which will be the largest and the first solo exhibition of Bob Ross's work in Canada, will run in the main gallery from March 21 to May 10, 2020.

"We are planning some amazing programming and events around this exhibition including a Bob Ross Art Battle at Slackwater Brewing in April, a giant paint-in, and a dance party where you can dress up as your favourite happy little character," exhibition organizers said in a press release.

A designated sponsorship wall will be going up in the gallery entrance and the gallery is inviting individuals and businesses to buy a happy little square to support its children’s programming.

Squares of Bob Ross and his painting will be sold for $20 each and will feature either your name and/or your logo.

Squares are available immediately so if you are interested in buying a piece of Bob’s ‘fro, act fast as they will sell quick.

Come on down to the gallery to pick your square/s and to put your mark on one of the most exciting shows of the year.
