Empowered Project Launch and Reception

What empowers you? How do you empower others? The Empowered project is a community art project centered on the need to empower each other and ourselves. This spring, the City of Kelowna invites the entire community to take part. By answering 2 questions about empowerment, and drawing a self portrait or a portrait of someone who empowers you in the community; we hope to celebrate what truly brings us together. All responses and drawing donations will be gathered and put into a collage canvas for residents around the city to enjoy.Join us for the project launch at the RCA on March 6th, 2020; and enjoy a performance by Leila Neverland, the wit and prowl of poet Erin Scott and join the #SPEAKOUT movement with the Central Okanagan Elizabeth Fry Society’s Mandy Glinsbockel.Tickets by Donation: www.trellis.org/empoweredAll ticket proceeds go to trauma counselling services at the Central Okanagan Elizabeth Fry Society.
