Hope Kelowna Drive-In Christmas Service (hourly)

The Hope Kelowna Drive-In Christmas takes place this Sunday, Dec.20 at the German Canadian Harmony Club (located at 1696 Cary Rd, between Enterprise and Harvey in Kelowna). The event is 55 minutes long, with reoccurring start-times beginning at noon and continuing into the evening.The drive-in Christmas event includes fun carolling, a showing from the film The Chosen that portrays the first Christmas in beautiful detail, as well as an encouraging message of hope. “With so many things closed and shut down this year, we are excited to be able to invite the Central Okanagan to experience some Christmas Hope” says Pastor Meldon Lutzer. “This is something for the whole family”. Brett King, discipleship and worship director, agrees “At Hope Bible church we believe this Christmas people need hope more than ever.”Church leaders are excited to be able to provide a safe event for the Okanagan, in accordance with the latest health guidelines. Organizers require that no one leaves their vehicle or congregates outside and ask that you attend with only members of your household inside your vehicle. It is also important to pre-register online (at www.hopekelowna.ca) as soon as possible to save your spot, as there is a limit of 50 cars per event time. There is no charge for this event, however donations for the Central Okanagan Food Bank will be gratefully accepted.Organizers are thrilled to have permission to share film from The Chosen at the event. The Chosen is the largest crowd-funded media project of all-time, a multi-season series about the life of Christ. Sunday’s drive-in will feature a portion from the series that the director, Dallas Jenkins, summarizes: While bringing a lamb acceptable for sacrifice to Bethlehem, a shepherd hears the angelic announcement and is witness to the birth of the Lamb of God.
