Python is an open source programming language that is used for creating web applications, web content, mathematics and system scripting. In this online course you will learn how python code works and given time to practice.It is strongly recommended you attend Introduction to Python II or have a basic understanding of Python before taking this class.In this course we build on the knowledge from part 1 and part 2. At this point we should be comfortable with creating variables, using basic functions, importing modules, loops, operators, and conditional arguments.Now we move into creating simple lists, two-dimensional lists, slicing and iterating, working with boolean logic, escape characters and more.Prior to the class, participants will need to download and install Python onto their personal computers. This workshop will take place online using Crowdcast, a free web-based video conferencing application.Registration is limited and specific instructions including information about software installation will be provided.Toronto Public Library is committed to accessibility.
