MP pledge to tackle climate crisis

n the smoke and ash and BRIGHT ORANGE sun, we feel the heat!! Canada is in a climate crisis as is the planet, and we can do something! As politicians gear up for an early federal election, it’s up to us to bring the impacts of climate change front and centre leading up to their campaign trail. On July 29, while catastrophic climate events continue to erupt around us, Penticton will be bringing the heat to MP Richard Cannings to demand emergency-level climate action. Join us at Nanaimo and Main St in Penticton to deliver a pledge that calls for moratorium on fossil fuel expansion and just transition legislation to MP Cannings. Together, we can show our elected officials that climate change will be a central issue to voters this year as record-breaking climate events ravage communities coast-to-coast. Bring face masks, friends, and signs as we demand our politicians to muster up the courage to combat the climate crisis.
