With snow on the ground around the Okanagan, it’s time to dig out those snow pants and start zipping down some of the slopes across the region.

We have compiled a map of some local favourite hills across Kelowna, Vernon and Penticton. Also included is a map of the best outdoor skating rinks across the region.  

Make sure to check out our interactive map to let us know your favourite spots. If we've missed a spot you'd like us to add, be sure to let us know in the comments below.

VERNON

  • Armstrong Elementary School at 3010 Pleasant Valley Rd.
  • Silver Star Mountain at 123 Shortt St.
  • Vernon Christian School at 6920 Pleasant Valley Rd.
  • Clarence Fulton Secondary School at 2301 Fulton Rd.
  • Predator Ridge Resort at 301 Village Centre Pl.
  • Mission Hill Elementary School at 1510 36 St.

KELOWNA

  • Crystal Mountain Ski Resort – Although West Kelowna's Crystal Mountain does not allow sledding many locals enjoy going to Half Camp which is an area off the Crystal Mountain Access Road. Directions can be provided at the ski resort. For more information go here. 
  • Hudson Road Elementary School at 1221 Hudson Rd.
  • Quilchena Park at 347 Quilchena Dr.
  • Main Street Park at 411 Providence Ave.
  • Curlew Park at Lark St.
