Family Sundays – Kelowna Art Gallery

Join the Kelowna Art Gallery in person for Family Sundays, where you and your family can join Gallery staff to take part in an enjoyable and exciting art activity based on one of their current exhibitions. Create a unique piece of artwork to take home with you whilst having fun exploring materials and techniques.Price: $5 per person Pre-Register: kelownaartgallery.com/family-sundays/As you might expect, things will look a little bit different, but we are excited to make art with you once again here at the Gallery. Please take a moment to review the new program guidelines below:Pre-registration is required and all participants must wear a mask. Those 12 years and older need to show proof of vaccine.Time slots are 45 minutes long and tables are available to book at 12:00, 1:00, 2:00 and 3:00.A maximum of 4 per table. Larger groups will need to book more than 1 table.The Gallery will not accommodate drop-in participants.Family Sundays are designed to be for the whole family. Children must be accompanied by an adult and you can all join in on the fun!Upcoming Schedule:March 6 | Marbling MadnessJoin us this Sunday to make art using shaving cream and liquid acrylics. We can turn our art into bookmarks, cards, or leave them as they are!March 13 | Artist Trading CardsThis Sunday we will be making artist’s trading cards. These are small original, hand-made works of art using a variety of materials such as pencil crayons, markers, and collage.March 20 | Looking At LandscapesAt Family Sunday this week, participants will look at landscapes for inspiration while using watercolour paints and crayons.March 27 | Playful PortraitsThis Family Sunday we will be creating portraits using magazine cut outs and drawing materials.
