Marv Machura to Perform at Ice Igloo Bar Vernon Winter Carnival

<p>The Igloo Ice Bar at the Department of Defence Grounds as part of Vernon’s upcoming Winter Carnival will be featuring Marv Machura, a popular Vernon-based recording/performing artist! The live musical entertainment goes from 5:00 -7:00, February 7-11! Machura is known for his Western Canadian Roots music and his engaging live performances that feature a wide repertoire of classic songs from artists such as Ian Tyson, Gordon Lightfoot, and John Denver. He has released four CDs since 2003 and has released over a dozen singles in the past few years. Working out of his studio in Vernon, he says, “Each time I produce a new song, I release it as a single rather than wait to have enough songs for an album or CD!” He continues, “All my recent releases are available on all the online channels.” Machura notes how the record/music industry has changed over the past 10-20 years and how it continues to evolve. “When I released my first CD in 2003, it required bubble-wrap and postage stamps to get my music to the radio and broadcast channels out there. Now, all that paper and plastic are gone. And music can stay available regardless of release date.
